Gül Pinar has been advising and defending clients exclusively in the field of criminal law for over 25 years. She draws on a high degree of specialization and decades of forensic experience from numerous major trials. These include proceedings before the Higher Regional Courts, oral hearings before the Federal Court of Justice, constitutional complaints, and proceedings before parliamentary investigative committees. Her experience as a criminal defense attorney in the fight for the rights of the accused, combined with her communication skills, demonstrates her strength in finding out-of-court solutions.
Attorney Pinar represents clients in complex criminal proceedings. In addition to white-collar and tax criminal proceedings, drug-related criminal proceedings, and jury trials, she also works in cross-border criminal prosecutions and represents defendants in extradition proceedings and renditions.
Since 2006, Gül Pinar has been a member of the Criminal Law Committee of the German Bar AssociationIn this capacity, she has been and continues to be involved in providing opinions on legislative proposals and participates as an expert in hearings of the German Bundestag and the European Commission. She is in her sixth term of office Board member of the Hanseatic Bar Association, since 2024 as a member of the Executive Board. From 2017 to 2024, she was also a board member of the Hamburg Bar Association.
Gül Pinar is also involved in shaping criminal law through extensive lecturing on criminal law issues and other legal policy topics and is also active in the training of young lawyers.
